The Only Epikia

Haggard. Twisted. Awkward. Weird? Bubbly. Hungry. Sleepy. I am a 20 year old something Registered Nurse, but ‘something’ by heart. I don’t know that ‘something’ yet, I’m still soul-searching, you know? I'm a master of none, I march to the beat of a different drummer and have the ability to laugh at most any situation.

The Bet - Rachel Van Dyken This was just my second read book from Rachel Van Dyken...and I'm seeing some sort of pattern here--Two eych-ow-ti guys pining over one girl, the girl likes the bad boy more but then she have this strange attraction to the good boy but the bad boy feels something towards the girl also but rather choose being the douche bag than play nice, the good boy have a hard time expressing his feelings that sometimes his actions were misinterpreted...something will happen and eventually, the girl will end up with the good boy and the bad boy will realize the mistake of not going after her because he was afraid. Is the theme familiar? And oh, of course, the two guys must be brothers, as in, blood-relative-they-came-from-the-same-mom-but-different-time brothers.

I have to admit that, yes, I have enjoyed some parts of the story...but I end up forcing myself to read it just for the sake of finishing it. All of the characters became annoying and became mary-sue and gary-stu's on the latter part of the story. *le sigh*
